Qualifications: 

1. High School Diploma or Equivalency to HS Diploma
2. Demonstrated aptitude for the tasks involved 

Reports to: Building Principal

Work Station: Metcalf Elementary School

Job Goal:      Through meaningful leadership, the student monitor will help to enable students to enjoy the group interaction which are a basic part of the each student’s day.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Supervise students on playground/cafeteria and help maintain a pleasant and safe atmosphere. 
2. Consistently enforce cafeteria/playground rules. 
3. Assume responsibility for play equipment and notify proper authority of any faulty equipment. 
4. Direct and supervise movement of group to and from playground/cafeteria. 
5. Report immediately to the principal and/or building secretary and/or nurse any injuries which occur. 

The position will be a maximum of 5 hours per day. At this time, the job will require assisting students at Metcalf Elementary School.
